Moacir dos Anjos (Recife, 1963) is a researcher at Fundação Joaquim Nabuco, Recife, where coordinates the exhibition project Política da Arte. He served as director of the Museu de Arte Moderna Aloisio Magalhães (2001-2006), Recife, and was a visiting research fellow at the Transnational Art, Identity and Nation research centre at the University of the Arts, London (2008-2009). He was curator of the Brazilian Pavillion (Artur Barrio) at the 2011 Venice Biennale and of the 2010 São Paulo Biennial. He also curated the exhibitions Cães sem Plumas (2014), at MAMAM, A Queda do Céu (2015), at Paço das Artes, São Paulo, Emergência (2017), at Galpão Bela Maré, Rio de Janeiro, Quem não luta tá morto. Arte democracia utopia (2018), at Museu de Arte do Rio and Raça, classe e distribuição de corpos (2018), at Fundação Joaquim Nabuco. He published the books Local/Global. Arte em Trânsito (2005), ArteBra Crítica (2010) and Contraditório. Arte, Globalização e Pertencimento (2017), besides having edited Pertença, Caderno_SESC_Videobrasil 8, São Paulo (2012).
