Evanthia Tsantila is a visual artist, born in Thessaloniki, Greece and lives in Berlin. In 1999 she represented Greece in the 48th Venice Biennale. Her work was shown in Cosmopolis – the 1st Balkan Biennale, the 1st Prague Biennale, the 5th Biennale of Gyumri in Armenia, the 1st Biennale of Thessaloniki and at the parallel program of the 1st Athens Biennale, the 2nd and the 3rd Biennale of Thessaloniki. She exhibited her work in solo and group shows in numerous international institutions. Evanthia Tsantila is active in the field of curatorial practice, artistic research and education, in projects realized in collaboration with public and private institutions and organizations. Her research attempts to question and broaden the limits of the artworks’ «public appearance».
